We are writing to announce the changing of our blog’s name from “Consumer Advertising Law Blog” to “Seller Beware: Consumer Protection Law Insights for Industry”. Since Arnold & Porter created the blog in April, 2008 (over 700 posts ago), our team has prided itself on providing thoughtful insights to manufactures and retailers of consumer products and services.
Over time, we felt that the name, “Consumer Advertising Law Blog”, did not clearly communicate the full range of issues covered by our blog: e.g., consumer protection, product safety, privacy and data security, product labeling, class action litigation, and product liability. In addition, our new name more clearly indicates that our attorneys concentrate on assisting industry clients in the consumer sector (as opposed to consumers themselves).
As part of our new name and look, over the next few weeks, we will be renaming our mobile app for those who read our posts on the go, as well as our Twitter account. As always, we welcome your input on any aspect of the blog. Please let us know how we can make the blog a more valuable resource for you.- Roberta Horton and Angel Garganta, co-editors
